Job Description
Oklahoma Surgical Hospital (OSH) is a renowned physician-owned facility located in Tulsa, recognized as the city's only 5-star rated hospital by Medicare. Established over 20 years ago by a group of dedicated physicians, OSH has built its reputation on a foundation of personalized healthcare and exceptional patient experiences. The hospital is deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards in patient care, clinical outcomes, and overall patient satisfaction, making it a premier choice for surgical and medical services in the region. OSH’s physician ownership model ensures that the facility remains focused on meeting the specific needs of patients and the community, emphasizing quality and compassionate care at every level.
Joining OSH means becoming part of a team of over 550 passionate healthcare professionals who share a common goal of redefining patient experiences through commitment, teamwork, and innovation. The hospital fosters a culture known as "The OSH Way," which represents the unique approach that all team members take to provide superior service, maintain excellence, and uphold personal integrity. Employees at OSH are valued for their contributions and supported through comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.
We are pleased to offer a full-time position for a Guest Services Specialist in Valet, working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service without the need for weekend or holiday work. Those hired for this position will be eligible for discretionary quarterly bonuses and a full benefits package, including a medical plan with no out-of-pocket costs at many affiliated physician offices. Additionally, OSH provides an on-site free fitness center for employees, promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The Guest Services Specialist in Valet plays a critical role in shaping the first and lasting impressions of the hospital. This safety-sensitive position entails greeting and assisting patients, guests, and visitors with valet services, including safely parking and retrieving vehicles, managing traffic flow within the parking lot, and ensuring the proper handling and labeling of keys. The role also involves supporting hospital operations by transporting patients from recovery to inpatient rooms and facilitating communication between patients, families, and medical staff.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and personal car insurance. While previous experience is not required, proven safe driving and the ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles are essential. The position demands strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Organizational skills are crucial for efficiently managing keys and paperwork related to daily transactions. The safety-sensitive nature of the job means employees will have access to confidential patient information and must demonstrate accountability, integrity, and sound judgment.
The Guest Services Specialist should also have basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products and data entry processes, and be comfortable working in various weather conditions with prolonged periods of standing or walking. Basic knowledge of the medical setting is helpful to effectively respond to inquiries and direct patients and visitors within the hospital complex.
At OSH, we celebrate diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applicants who are committed to upholding our patient-first mission and contributing to a positive team environment. If you are looking for a workplace that feels like home and a team that succeeds together, consider joining Oklahoma Surgical Hospital where your skills and dedication will be valued and rewarded.
