The role of the Guest Service Agent is pivotal in delivering the company's mission. The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests from the moment of check-in until checkout, aiming to maximize room revenue and hotel occupancy. This full-time position requires a dynamic individual who can handle multiple responsibilities including registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and managing guest accounts with precision and confidentiality. The agent uses suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and hotel services, collaborates effectively with housekeeping to ensure room statuses are accurate and up-to-date, and handles guest requests and complaints with ownership and timely follow-up.
This position demands high proficiency in hotel property management system (PMS) software, ideally Opera PMS, along with excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to maintain a clean and organized front desk work area. The Guest Service Agent also participates in departmental meetings, supports smooth interdepartmental communication by updating pass-ons every shift, and follows safety and emergency procedures diligently. Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, general education degree or international equivalent
- Minimum two years of customer service experience, preferably in a resort or hotel front office
- Experience with Opera PMS preferred
- Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Continuous use of hands and arms
- Ability to bend, reach, and twist frequently
- Maintain strong personal image and uniform standards

- Register guests and assign rooms
