The City's Recreation Division is committed to fostering a welcoming and safe environment for everyone who participates in its services. The division emphasizes strong customer service, safety, and inclusivity as foundational principles that guide its daily operations.
We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated Guest Services Representatives to join our team, working specifically at Centennial Pool and Discovery Bay. This role is a vital component in the Recreation Division, responsible for delivering excellent customer service to patrons and assisting with daily facility operations to ensure smooth and efficient facility function. The position offers a dynamic work environment where employees have the opportunity to interact with a broad demographic, gaining valuable experience in public service and recreation management.
Guest Services Representatives at the City of Greeley Recreation Division work hourly with salary ranges anticipated between $15.16 to $18.46 per hour, with a full salary range up to $21.75. This position requires flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays, reflecting the nature of recreational facility operations.
The role entails greeting and engaging patrons, collecting payments, managing a high volume of telephone calls, and providing accurate information about programs and services. Representatives use specialized recreation management software, such as RecTrac, to handle membership sales, program registration, facility rentals, and point of sale services. Additional responsibilities include assisting with marketing efforts by updating materials, websites, and social media platforms to maintain accurate public information.
Safety and risk management are integral to this position. Employees are expected to hold current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED or obtain these certifications within three months of hire. They must be prepared to respond appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols and contributing to a secure environment for all facility users.
Ideal candidates will bring strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. They should be capable of effectively communicating with diverse populations and handling high-stress situations with a calm and friendly demeanor. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are a plus, enhancing the ability to serve a wider community. Additionally, familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new technologies are important to support daily administrative tasks.
The work environment involves frequent interaction with the public and colleagues, including occasional work outdoors during the operational months of outdoor pools. Physical requirements such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varying weather conditions are part of the daily routine. The City of Greeley is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, offering equal employment opportunities to all applicants regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
