The Guest Services Representative - Fitness Attendant position is an integral role within the Recreation Division of the City of Greeley. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the family-friendly recreation facilities, including the Family FunPlex and Greeley Recreation Center. Individuals in this role are responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of fitness areas, assisting patrons, enforcing policies, and supporting fitness staff. This position allows for the chance to engage with diverse populations, promote wellness, and contribute to the positive environment of Greeley’s recreational services.

In this role, the Guest Services Representative - Fitness Attendant serves as the first point of contact for patrons, greeting visitors, providing comprehensive tours, and delivering courteous and professional customer service. The position requires maintaining fitness equipment, supporting programming efforts, responding to injuries, and upholding industry safety certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and AED. Working hours might vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a workload averaging less than 30 hours weekly, making it suitable for individuals seeking variable hours.

The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal communication skills, a working knowledge of exercise techniques and equipment, and the ability to maintain a positive, problem-solving attitude. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
  • Availability to work variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings including drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record search
  • Ability to work less than 30 hours average per week
  • Commitment to maintain industry certifications as required

Job Qualifications

  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire

  • Spanish/English bilingual skills desired

Job Duties

  • Greet all patrons in a timely manner and inquire where and what they are doing in the facility to ensure safety
  • Monitor the use of equipment in fitness areas
  • Clean and organize all fitness areas
  • Support fitness staff by setting up and tearing down and sanitizing fitness equipment
  • Provide a friendly, inclusive, service-oriented environment for staff and patrons
  • Provide positive relations and policy education to patrons
  • Assist with fitness programming as designated by the Fitness Coordinator or Team Leads
