The City of Greeley is a vibrant and growing municipality located in the northern Front Range of Colorado. Known for its friendly communities, diverse population, and rich cultural opportunities, the City of Greeley offers a variety of recreational and community services designed to improve the quality of life for its residents. Among these, the Recreation Division plays a vital role by providing a broad range of recreational programs, events, and facilities to support health, well-being, and community engagement. The division operates the Greeley Recreation Center, a hub for residents and visitors to enjoy fitness, sports, and leisure activities in a well-maintained and welcoming environment.
The City of Greeley is currently seeking dedicated Guest Services Representatives to join its Recreation Division at the Greeley Recreation Center. This is a benefits-eligible, hourly position with anticipated pay ranges starting from $15.16 up to $18.46 per hour, with full salary ranges extending to $21.75 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. The role is crucial in maintaining excellent customer service by assisting patrons with various needs related to the center's operations.
As a Guest Services Representative, you will be the face of the Recreation Center, greeting visitors in person, by phone, or electronically, and providing essential information about facilities, programs, services, events, and schedules. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deliver professional and responsive service consistently. You will be responsible for handling registrations for classes and activities, processing payments including cash and credit transactions, selling memberships, and scheduling facility and park shelter rentals. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk and lobby areas while ensuring safety protocols through monitoring entry and exit points.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. You should be comfortable using reservation software and office software such as Microsoft Office applications. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are preferred, given the diverse community the center serves. Guest Services Representatives also support administrative duties like filing, data entry, and inventory management, and occasionally assist instructors or program participants.
Working for the City of Greeley Recreation Division means being part of a team committed to fostering an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable environment for all community members. The position requires flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional high-noise open office environments. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 49 pounds, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
The City of Greeley is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing reasonable accommodations through the hiring process, and adhering to all legal standards regarding employment. Candidates must pass pre-employment screenings including background checks, drug testing, and motor vehicle record verification. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing recreational experiences and quality of life in Greeley.
