Job Description

The City of Greeley is a vibrant and growing municipality committed to providing exceptional public services and fostering a thriving community environment. Located in the northern part of Colorado, the city prides itself on transparency, inclusivity, and the provision of high-quality resources and programs to its residents. As part of its commitment to excellence, the City of Greeley offers competitive employment opportunities within a supportive and progressive work environment that values its employees and their contributions to the community.

This opportunity is for the position of Guest Services Representative, a critical role that serves as the face of the city's various public facilities. The Guest Services Representative acts as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring each guest receives professional and courteous assistance from the moment they arrive. This role requires an individual who excels at customer service, possesses strong communication skills, and is capable of managing multiple responsibilities with a calm and detail-oriented approach.

The position is benefit-eligible and offers an anticipated hiring salary range of $15.16 to $18.46 per hour, with a full salary range extending to $21.75 per hour. The actual salary offered will depend on qualifications such as experience, education, and relevant certifications. The City of Greeley embraces wage transparency by clearly communicating both the full salary range and the anticipated hiring range to prospective employees.

As a Guest Services Representative, you will be responsible for greeting visitors in person, over the phone, or electronically, providing accurate information on programs, events, policies, and schedules. You will handle registrations and transactions using specialized reservation software, ensuring that each visitor’s experience is smooth and enjoyable. Cash handling, credit card processing, and daily reconciliations are essential duties, requiring proficiency and trustworthiness.

Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of front-facing areas such as lobbies and guest zones is also part of the role, as is monitoring access points to guarantee safety and compliance with facility regulations. You will address guest feedback and concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary. Additionally, you will assist in setting up programs or facility rentals and maintain thorough records including logs, attendance, and incident reports. Administrative support functions such as filing, data entry, and managing supply inventory will also be part of your daily tasks.

The position requires flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the work environment characterized by busy, open office settings potentially involving high noise levels. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, lift up to 45 pounds, and operate office equipment and motor vehicles as necessary.

The City of Greeley values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, firmly committed to an inclusive workplace free from discrimination and harassment. We also provide accommodations throughout the recruitment process for applicants who need them, reinforcing our dedication to accessibility and fairness. If you are driven to contribute positively to a public service setting, enjoy interacting with the community, and meet the qualifications listed, we encourage you to apply for the Guest Services Representative position with the City of Greeley.
