The role of Guest Services Representative at Mercedes-Benz of Durham is integral to maintaining the dealership's high standards of customer engagement. This position ensures a friendly and receptive environment for all guests, providing the administrative backbone of the sales department. The Guest Services Representative is responsible for accurately recording customer traffic, managing various logs and reports, and supporting the overall sales process with critical metrics. This full-time position involves opening and closing procedures, answering and directing phone calls, and producing daily performance reports. The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and managers, ensuring that every guest feels valued and attended to.

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires the individual to uphold company policies and standards, maintain an organized and safe work environment, and actively participate in training sessions. Job Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma

Job Duties

  • perform opening and closing guest services procedures
  • answer incoming phone calls courteously, promptly, and professionally
  • direct phone calls to appropriate personnel
  • take accurate messages
  • direct customers to appropriate person or department
  • manage desk logs and various operational logs such as phone up log, loaner agreement log, dealer plate log, and gas card log
  • track and filter incoming calls and take messages
  • communicate effectively with guest services manager and greeters
  • reconcile and update data entry with dealership software
  • produce daily reports including daily update and performance metric reports
  • walk around the showroom hourly to offer refreshments to guests
  • provide a warm, positive and happy environment for guests, their children and teammates
  • help maintain a clean and comfortable facility
  • provide new hire customer management training when requested
  • maintain customer satisfaction index at or above company standards
  • maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
  • participate in required training
  • record all hours worked accurately in timekeeping system
  • follow safeguards rules and regulations
  • demonstrate company core values
  • comply with company policies and procedures
  • observe all safety rules and regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
