Job Description

The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to the community, ensuring that every patient, visitor, and staff member experiences an environment that is safe, welcoming, and supportive. As a leading medical facility, the hospital continually strives to maintain high standards of care, hospitality, and security, emphasizing a patient-first approach in all operations. With a commitment to excellence, the hospital integrates advanced healthcare technologies with compassionate service and an efficient support system.

The role of Guest Services Ambassador is pivotal in supporting this strategic location within the hospital. This position primarily involves offering resources, information, and ensuring security for all visitors, patients, staff, and physicians. The Guest Services Ambassador serves as the first point of contact, providing superior customer service by greeting and welcoming every individual encountered. This role demands a thorough knowledge of hospital operations to effectively answer questions, guide visitors, and meet their needs with professionalism and a helpful demeanor.

In addition to customer service, the Guest Services Ambassador plays a crucial role in safety and security procedures by obtaining necessary authorizations or clearances for visitors, managing visitor guidelines, and monitoring security systems in sensitive units such as Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU. Responsibilities extend to managing transportation equipment availability, facilitating patient and visitor wayfinding, and coordinating personal assistance such as transportation, dining, and accommodations upon request.

The position also entails light housekeeping duties to ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and efficient. Collaboration with hospital volunteers, clinical leaders, and nursing staff forms a core part of this role to deliver coordinated and comprehensive visitor support services. Moreover, the Guest Services Ambassador contributes to special hospital programs, including complementary parking coordination and transportation assistance, reflecting the hospital's dedication to patient and visitor convenience.

This is a vital role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication capabilities, quick problem-solving, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information tactfully. The ideal candidate is expected to maintain composure in stressful situations, respond promptly to emergencies, and adhere strictly to hospital policies and protocols. Physical tasks may include lifting, standing, walking, pushing wheelchairs, and escorting patients, with necessary equipment used for heavier lifts. This position may require working occasional weekends and holidays to support hospital operations continuously.

Overall, the Guest Services Ambassador ensures that the hospital environment is welcoming, secure, and supportive of hospital activities, contributing significantly to the hospital’s mission of delivering outstanding patient care and an excellent visitor experience.
