This particular role is located at 7984 Gateway Boulevard East, El Paso, Texas 79907, where the property serves as a comfortable and accessible destination for travelers in the region. The position of Guest Services Representative plays a critical role in the day-to-day operation of the front office, acting as the primary point of contact for guests and ensuring their needs are addressed promptly. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage multiple responsibilities effectively, especially when the General Manager is not present. The Guest Services Representative is entrusted with upholding the highest standards of service, managing guest relations, coordinating with staff, and maintaining safety and security compliance. The representative is expected to handle reservations, check guests in and out efficiently, and address any guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
Beyond guest interactions, the role also involves operational duties such as bank deposits, reporting to regional management in the absence of the General Manager, and ensuring that the property is always clean and orderly. This position demands strong computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Additionally, the Guest Services Representative is responsible for training staff on service standards, helping maintain cost controls, and identifying and resolving safety or security issues promptly. The job requires flexibility in work hours and the physical stamina to manage long shifts, including standing for extended periods and occasional physical tasks.

Job Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning automobile
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret information found in various reports and internal hotel information
- Read, speak, write and understand English language
- Sufficient mathematical skills to calculate room revenue, average rate, occupancy percentage and balance cash bank
- General computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Front Office and related department operations and service standards
- Ability to perform a variety of front office and related positions
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work long hours as business demands
- Ability to manage multiple activities in stressful situations
- Time management skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving ability
Job Duties
- Ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
- Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
- Check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
- Be proficient in computer operating system
- Address guest issues professionally and promptly
- Notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
- Provide guidance to property staff as needed
- Ensure compliance of safety and security standards
- Report to Regional Operations Manager in General Manager's absence
- Responsible for bank deposits in General Manager's absence
- Identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
- Notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy
- Leave all desk and office areas clean and neat
- Ensure property is clean and free of trash and debris
