Job Description
Methodist Hospital is a prominent healthcare institution operating under the HealthPartners Enterprise, a nonprofit integrated health care organization recognized for delivering high-quality patient care across Minnesota and Wisconsin. As part of a network that includes over 90 hospitals and clinics, Methodist Hospital is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services with a focus on inclusivity, diversity, and patient-centered care. HealthPartners emphasizes advancing health equity, supporting community wellbeing, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture where every team member feels valued and respected. With a mission to improve health and well-being, the institution combines extensive research, medical education, and innovative care approaches, supported by HealthPartners Institute, which trains medical professionals and contributes groundbreaking research to the healthcare industry.
The role offered at Methodist Hospital is that of a Guest Services Representative, a part-time position with a 0.6 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) workload comprising 24 hours per week. The schedule primarily involves morning shifts with varied hours, tailored to meet the needs of the hospital’s dynamic environment. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about customer service within a healthcare setting and looking to contribute positively to patient and visitor experiences. Hourly pay ranges from $17.38 to $26.06, with compensation adjusted based on education, experience, and specific role requirements, including potential bonuses and shift differentials.
As a Guest Services Representative, you will be the welcoming face of Methodist Hospital, serving as a central point of contact for all patients, families, and visitors entering the facility. The role requires a professional, friendly, and efficient approach to greeting and assisting individuals, ensuring a seamless and hospitable experience from entry to exit. This position works cooperatively across multiple hospital departments and clinics to address diverse guest needs, resolve concerns promptly, and reinforce the hospital’s standards of customer service excellence. The Guest Services Representative also supports internal hospital staff by acting as a primary resource, enhancing communication and operational flow.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills and have a background in customer or guest services, preferably with experience in healthcare, security, law enforcement, or behavioral health sectors. This role demands minimal supervision, reliability, and the ability to handle a broad spectrum of service needs professionally. This on-call position offers unique opportunities to impact patient satisfaction and contribute meaningfully to the hospital’s welcoming atmosphere, all within a supportive and mission-focused organization dedicated to improving community health outcomes.
