The role of Guest Service Liaison at Banner Health Center plus is a pivotal position focused on enhancing the patient experience from the moment they enter the facility. Serving as the welcoming face of the center, the Guest Service Liaison is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. This role involves greeting guests warmly, offering clear directions, and sometimes escorting patients to various departments to ensure their arrival is both pleasant and efficient. Beyond simple greeting duties, the Guest Service Liaison also ensures that common areas such as waiting rooms remain clean, safe, and comfortable, reinforcing the center's commitment to a welcoming environment. Acting as a liaison between patients, visitors, and medical staff, the liaison helps coordinate special requests and support services to meet individual needs. The position requires excellent communication skills, a calm and friendly demeanor, and a genuine desire to help others navigate the healthcare system with ease. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • Ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients, guests and staff
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills
  • Ability to interact pleasantly and calmly with patients, guests and staff
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during morning hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • Must have the ability to handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients, guests and staff
  • Must possess excellent oral communication, as well as listening skills to effectively interact pleasantly and calmly with patients, guests and staff
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Meets, greets and assists patients and guests and provides general information regarding the services, the facility, and geographical area
  • Responds to special requests from our patients, customers and guests
  • Makes special arrangements to ensure unique needs are met
  • Assist patients and guests with scheduling transportation or other services as needed
  • Gathers, summarizes and provides information to patients and their guests about the property and surrounding area amenities and establishments
  • Coordinates patient needs with other departments/areas
  • Contracts appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve patient's requests
  • Coordinates access to the care delivery area, performs visitor authorization procedures, serves as a liaison between visitors and staff, relays visitor concerns to staff, and coordinates visitor support services
  • Answers phone, transfers calls, takes messages and relays messages and information as needed
  • Provides tours of the facility and walks customers to appropriate areas within the facility
  • Performs functions within established parameters
  • Customers include patients, families, and the community at large
  • Expected to perform daily work duties with minimal supervision based on training and policies provided
  • Expected to assist with patient and guest inquiries to ensure a positive experience
