As a part of this esteemed establishment, the Guest Services Greeter position plays a vital role in shaping the first impressions of guests visiting the Colorado Convention Center and Bellco Theatre. This hourly, non-exempt role reports directly to the Guest Services Manager and is compensated at a competitive rate of $20.00 per hour. The primary responsibility of the Guest Services Greeter is to provide courteous and professional assistance to guests, greeting and guiding them to their requested locations within the facility efficiently and effectively. This entails communicating clearly with guests, answering questions regarding the venue's amenities, art installations, policies, and operational guidelines

The role requires a representative who can maintain an excellent public image for the Center by being approachable and knowledgeable. The Guest Services Greeter will frequently interact with employees, patrons, and vendors, ensuring that everyone receives accurate and timely information. Additional duties include coverage of the reception desk for both in-person guests and phone inquiries, addressing guest complaints by offering practical solutions and follow-up to guarantee satisfaction, and escalating more complex or unusual issues to the Guest Services Manager or Lead for resolution.

This position demands flexibility as shifts may vary across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating the Center's extensive event schedule. The nature of the role requires prolonged periods of standing and mobility, along with comfortable use of communication devices such as two-way handheld radios. Prior experience or interest in customer service, communication skills, and the ability to work within diverse teams will be critical to success. Overall, the Guest Services Greeter will be an ambassador for the Colorado Convention Center, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and well-assisted throughout their experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • customer service experience preferred
  • availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand and move for up to three-quarters of scheduled work time
  • ability to use two-way hand-held radio
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet guests
  • offer assistance in answering questions
  • provide directions to locations within our facility as well as to various amenities and services
  • coverage of reception desk for in-person guest and callers
  • on inquiry, inform guest of amenities and walking distance locations
  • offer solutions to any guest complaints and problems
  • follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • refer unusual or difficult questions and problems to Guest Services Manager or Lead to ensure proper resolution
