Job Description

The Miami Beach EDITION is a distinguished luxury boutique hotel that represents the pinnacle of sophistication and personalized service. Situated in the vibrant heart of Miami Beach, Florida, this hotel is part of the globally renowned EDITION Hotels portfolio under Marriott International, a leader in the hospitality industry. EDITION Hotels blend visionary boutique hotel concepts with the flawless service delivery expected of a world-class luxury brand. Known for combining polish with personality and delivering exceptional guest experiences, the Miami Beach EDITION caters to sophisticated travelers seeking originality, design excellence, and unique service. The hotel's location on Collins Avenue places guests in proximity to premier attractions and cultural hotspots, making it a prime destination for discerning visitors. Employment at the Miami Beach EDITION is full-time and non-management, providing a dynamic workplace environment that champions teamwork, respect, and professionalism.

The role being offered is vital in enhancing guest satisfaction and ensuring smooth operations within the hotel’s Rooms and Guest Services Operations department. This position involves the activation and re-issuance of room keys using electronic key machines, a crucial task for guest access and convenience. The incumbent will serve as a key point of communication, informing relevant staff about guest arrivals waiting for rooms and managing guest messages with care and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include accommodating room change requests when possible, providing guests with detailed information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions, and managing luggage storage and retrieval with accuracy and professionalism.

Beyond operational duties, this role requires a high level of guest interaction and service excellence. The ideal candidate must demonstrate genuine hospitality by welcoming guests warmly and anticipating their needs. They will provide clear, courteous information and assistance, from guiding guests around the property to arranging transportation services. The position demands adherence to all company policies, a commitment to safety and confidentiality, and a professional appearance. It also involves collaborative work with colleagues to foster an environment of inclusion and teamwork, all while upholding the brand’s reputation for quality assurance and service standards.

The physical demands of the job include standing or walking for extended periods, handling luggage weighing up to 25 pounds, and performing tasks that require fine motor skills and movement such as bending, twisting, and reaching. Flexibility and readiness to perform additional reasonable duties as directed by supervisors are essential. Though no prior work or supervisory experience is required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred, signaling a commitment to foundational education that supports job success.

Joining the Miami Beach EDITION means becoming part of a culture that values diversity, equity, and equal opportunity. Marriott International fosters an inclusive workplace where associate backgrounds are celebrated, and where individuals can belong to a global team committed to service from the heart. This position is an excellent opportunity for those enthusiastic about hospitality and eager to build a rewarding career within a renowned luxury hotel brand that encourages personal and professional growth. By joining EDITION, employees engage in an extraordinary theatrical experience that continuously delights guests and drives innovation in hospitality.
