This role is crucial in supporting the center's mission to create engaging events that resonate with diverse audiences. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for researching, booking, organizing, and executing a variety of events that differ in size and scope. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented person who enjoys working in a team environment and thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven atmosphere. As an Event Coordinator, the individual will collaborate closely with the floor manager and other team members to ensure smooth event operations and exceptional customer service. The role also involves assisting with concept design, vendor coordination, and marketing strategies to maximize event success. Knowledge of the local and cultural dynamics, along with strong communication skills and bilingual proficiency in Spanish, is essential for this position. - able to articulate ideas easily, express self fluidly and capture others' ideas even more easily
- good writing skills
- experience with Microsoft such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Job Duties
- Assist floor manager with closing registers
- answer phone calls
- handle customer complaints
- take table reservations
- sell VIP tables
- sell Plaza Mariachi memberships
- take customer surveys
- assist with concept design, planning, logistics and execution of on-site events
- assist with coordination of vendors
- assist with creative marketing and communications strategies to assist with events
- research and book artists on a given budget
