Teamwork and communication are essential components of this position, as duties include greeting visitors, providing accurate information on hospital policies and procedures, managing visitor controls, and assisting with medical and security emergency protocols according to departmental guidelines. Furthermore, staff members will be responsible for balancing receipts, preparing daily activity reports, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of lobby areas. This role also includes responsibilities such as issuing courtesy parking discounts and free passes when appropriate, transporting visitors with physical assistance such as wheelchairs, and operating computers for disseminating patient information while respecting confidentiality rules.
Training and orienting new employees at the information desk is another integral part of the position, ensuring consistency and quality of service across shifts. The role requires proficiency with computers and relevant technologies, a professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to help others. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or related field preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or guest relations preferred

Job Duties
- Greet hospital guests and provide directions and assistance
- Serve as a reference source regarding visiting hours, directions, package delivery, general admitting, and hospital policies
- Assist with parking cashier functions and validate patient parking
- Balance receipts and prepare daily activity reports
- Monitor visitor controls and enforce visitation policies
- Use departmental guidelines during medical and security emergencies
- Train and orient new employees at the information desk
