Job Description

The hiring establishment is a renowned Medical Center located in Miami, FL, recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to the community. This Medical Center operates as a comprehensive facility offering a wide range of medical specialties and patient-centered care with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient services. Serving a diverse patient population, the center is dedicated to delivering high-quality medical treatment while fostering a compassionate and respectful environment for patients, their families, and visitors. The Medical Center is equipped with cutting-edge technology and employs a team of expert healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to ensure optimal health outcomes and patient satisfaction. The institution prioritizes community engagement and outreach, positioning itself as a leader in healthcare innovation and service excellence within the Miami metropolitan area.

The role offered is that of a Guest Services Concierge within the hospital’s guest services team, functioning on an On Call/Pool basis. This position is fundamental in bridging communication between the hospital and its patients, visitors, and staff by providing exceptional customer support and logistical assistance. The Guest Services Concierge serves as the face of the hospital to the community, warmly welcoming patients and visitors, providing necessary directions within the medical center, and offering non-medical translations to accommodate the diverse language needs of the hospital's clientele. This role demands a patient-focused individual capable of handling sensitive information confidentially and performing a variety of tasks that support patient admissions, visit coordination, and overall guest experience enhancement.

The position requires the operation of standard office equipment and occasional support in patient transport within the facility. Additionally, the concierge assists in managing schedules and coordinating coverage on weekends and holidays, ensuring seamless guest services throughout busy periods. The job includes answering and directing calls, maintaining communication logs, and working closely with clinical teams to assist new patient registration and appointment logistics. Emphasis is placed on demonstrating the hospital’s CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Expertise, which underscore the importance of treating every individual with dignity and professionalism.

Candidates are expected to have between one to three years of related experience, with a high school diploma as the minimum education requirement; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. The role demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical environment. Bilingual abilities are advantageous to effectively serve the patient demographic. This position entails working in a mostly sedentary capacity but may require standing or walking frequently and the ability to lift items up to 20 pounds. The work environment includes exposure to typical hospital conditions, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.

Overall, the Guest Services Concierge plays a crucial role in enhancing patient and visitor experiences at the Medical Center, facilitating smooth administrative operations, and supporting the hospital’s mission to provide superior care in a welcoming and supportive setting.
