The Guest Services Center at Truckee Gaming serves as the frontline for guest interaction, providing an essential link between the casino and its patrons. The center is responsible for engaging guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they have accurate information about the casino’s rewards program, scheduled events, and ongoing promotions. As a Guest Services Representative, the role involves handling guest inquiries, processing gaming-related transactions, and maintaining detailed records while upholding high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
This full-time position requires the individual to deliver exemplary customer service, assist guests in enrolling and navigating the rewards program, and actively support marketing initiatives designed to increase guest participation in casino events and activities. The role also demands proficiency in cash handling, including conducting exchanges of gaming instruments for cash and maintaining various financial logs as prescribed by regulatory requirements. Compliance with Nevada Gaming regulations and attention to the enforcement of Title 31 reporting standards are critical components of the responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be integral to promoting Truckee Gaming’s loyalty program through daily announcements, player assistance, and event emcee duties when necessary. Job Requirements
- promote property events by making daily announcements
- assist players as needed including but not limited to walking players through promotional kiosk, answering questions about promotional activities and rewards, getting new player sign ups
- greet and welcome all guests in a pleasant and professional manner
- use company technology to aid in Casino rewards program services
- actively participate in all marketing endeavors from concept planning to execution of events
- facilitate property promotions, events, and giveaways
- provide timely service in a friendly and courteous manner
- respond to and resolve guest complaints when able
- answer guest and team member questions and be knowledgeable about property events and attractions
- act as emcee for drawings, giveaways and special events when needed
- maintain accurate records for all guests and accounts to be able to effectively communicate same
- promote and enroll guests in Truckee Gaming’s One Card rewards program
- perform cash transactions of gaming and monetary instruments
- maintain confidentiality of all data and guest information
- maintain accuracy of both cash drawer and all paperwork involved in transactions
- balance Auxiliary Bank within variance policy standards
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must be able to stand for long periods of time
- must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds
- must be able to converse clearly over telephone in noisy environment
- must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
- must possess Nevada Gaming Registration
Job Qualifications
- minimum six months previous guest service experience and cash handling experience, preferably in a casino
- must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner
- possess excellent guest relations, communication skills and good organizational skills
- must be detail oriented and positive team player
- experience with and knowledge of Title 31 preferred
- must possess basic math and computer skills, including Excel
- must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
