The role of Guest Service Attendant is vital to the resort’s reputation for excellence and guest satisfaction. As a Guest Service Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel front drive, responsible for ensuring a smooth and pleasant arrival and departure experience. Your duties will include assisting guests by efficiently retrieving their vehicles, handling luggage with care, and delivering messages and other items within the hotel promptly. You will play an integral role in setting a warm, professional, and engaging atmosphere by consistently offering outstanding service and maintaining a strong presence in the lobby to assist guests whenever necessary. Knowledge of the resort’s various activities and amenities is essential to respond knowledgeably to guest inquiries and help enhance their stay.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred
  • Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Reliable and responsible work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of San Diego and local attractions
  • Ability to read and count
  • Ability to maintain calm and courteous demeanor

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with retrieving vehicles efficiently
  • Assist guests with luggage handling and delivery
  • Deliver guests’ luggage, messages, and other items within the hotel
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and engaging service attitude
  • Ensure guests are familiar with room features upon arrival
  • Offer assistance to guests in the lobby when not delivering luggage
  • Keep all areas neat and clean for guests and colleagues
  • Assist guests arriving and departing by vehicle at the front drive
  • Maintain knowledge of resort activities to meet guest needs
