Job Description
Thrive Companies, the parent organization of The Little Grand Market, operates with a deep commitment to fostering meaningful connections within the communities they serve. They specialize in creating welcoming spaces that act as more than just places to eat or drink—they are designed as gathering spots where neighbors become friends and memories are made. Thrive Companies focuses on authenticity and community enrichment through their various hospitality ventures. The Little Grand Market, a vibrant part of their portfolio, offers a unique blend of bar and dining experiences with indoor and outdoor venues, catering to a diverse clientele seeking comfort, quality, and memorable social interactions.
Within this dynamic environment, the role of Guest Experience Associate - Bartender at The Little Grand Market is crucial. This part-time, seasonal position demands a passionate and skilled individual committed to delivering superior hospitality. The Bartender not only crafts handcrafted cocktails and serves beverages but also creates a welcoming atmosphere that enhances every guest's experience from arrival to departure. Working Thursday through Sunday during both day and evening shifts, this role is perfect for those interested in a lively, customer-focused job through the busy summer and fall seasons.
The position emphasizes more than just mixing drinks; it involves contributing to the growth of the beverage program, offering expertise as a mixologist or sommelier, and assisting management with operational aspects of the bar services. The Little Grand’s unique setup includes multiple bar areas such as the main Little Grand Bar, Seven Sisters Patio, Bada, various events, and mobile beverage stations, requiring the bartender to be adaptable and versatile. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, balancing the art of cocktail creation with top-tier customer service, ensuring guests enjoy sensory delights through quality drinks, appealing aromas, clean environments, and suitable music ambiance.
Reporting directly to the Guest Experience Manager, the bartender’s role is embedded in the company’s vision of being more than a service provider, focusing on creating authenticity and memorable guest experiences. This role demands strong interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, excellent time management, and a proactive attitude toward teamwork and responsibility. Thrive Companies offers a competitive pay rate of $10 per hour plus tips, paid bi-weekly, alongside benefits such as participation in a 401k plan with employer matching and discounted memberships at local athletic facilities, underscoring their commitment to employee well-being and development.
This position is an excellent opportunity for anyone aspiring to expand their knowledge in beverage service, mixology, or hospitality management while being part of a community-centric company. The seasonal nature of the role supports work-life balance while embracing the vibrant hospitality scene of The Little Grand Market. Anyone with a passion for exceptional guest service and the skills to deliver an outstanding bar experience will find this position both rewarding and enriching.
