Job Description

Gaylord Hotels, a distinguished part of Marriott International, is renowned for delivering exceptional hospitality and curated guest experiences that go beyond the conventional hotel stay. Located at 201 Waterfront St, National Harbor, Maryland, this establishment stands as a beacon of luxury and innovative customer service within the vibrant rooms and guest services operations sector. Gaylord Hotels prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment, embracing diverse backgrounds, and offering employees a robust platform to grow both personally and professionally.

This part-time, non-management position located in National Harbor invites candidates who are passionate about hospitality and dedicated to enhancing guest satisfaction through meticulous room and front desk operations. With an hourly pay range starting at $21.97 and potential increments to $29.30 after leveraging experience within the company, this role is designed for individuals seeking dynamic engagement in guest services with flexible and weekend availability preferred.

The role primarily involves managing the critical touchpoints of guest interactions such as processing check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and handling requests related to room changes or late check-outs. The employee is expected to secure payments, manage key activations and reissues, and ensure accuracy in billing, all while upholding the highest standards of customer service. This position requires coordination with housekeeping and other hotel departments to guarantee that guest rooms are ready and the service standards are continuously met and exceeded.

Further responsibilities include operating the telephone switchboard, managing daily reports, and addressing guest queries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Ensuring the safety of the hotel environment by monitoring banking processes and notifying security of any irregularities underscores the importance of vigilance in this role. The individual in this position should exude professionalism, maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and company assets.

At Gaylord Hotels, employees are considered STARs – Serving, Taking initiative, Attitude, and Respect – who deliver not only exceptional service but also embody the core values that set the brand apart in the Marriott portfolio. Joining this team means becoming part of a global community that supports your career aspirations and personal development while providing comprehensive benefits and a vibrant workplace culture.

Working in this role means a commitment to excellence, from representing the company with a clean, professional appearance to mastering clear and polite communication. The job demands physical activity, including standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as the capacity to handle lightweight objects. This role is suitable for individuals ready to engage in a demanding yet rewarding hospitality career that values integrity, teamwork, and passion for guest satisfaction. Overall, this position offers an enriching opportunity to grow within a renowned hospitality leader and contribute to creating memorable experiences for guests.
