As a service-oriented organization, MCCS is committed to excellence and unwavering support to the Corps, fostering a workplace culture that prioritizes integrity, respect, and top-tier customer service.

This particular vacancy is located at Marine Corps Base Hawaii within the Recreation Lodging department. The position open is for a Guest Services Agent NF2, a crucial role that serves as the frontline ambassador for MCCS lodging services. This role involves accepting guest reservations both via telephone and in-person interactions, adhering to established protocols, room rates, and procedures. The Guest Services Agent is responsible for managing guest registration, assigning rooms, managing keys, handling guest payments, and maintaining accurate records using the property management system. The role demands a high level of customer service acumen, as the agent engages guests warmly and helpfully, providing information about local activities and attractions, and seeking always to exceed guest expectations. This position requires handling cash transactions, managing a change fund, and coordinating closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure guest rooms are maintained to high standards. In addition to these duties, the agent manages retail and sundry merchandise sales, overseeing inventory control and restocking efforts. Maintaining an orderly and clean workplace environment, especially the guest lobby, is part of the daily responsibilities.

The Guest Services Agent position may require working any shift, including overnight hours, evidencing flexibility and dedication to maintaining continuous exceptional service. This is a white-collar position with occasional physical requirements such as lifting up to 20 pounds. MCCS values inclusiveness, safety, and adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity principles and the prevention of sexual harassment, ensuring a supportive workplace for all employees.

Prospective applicants must utilize the MCCS Careers website for submitting applications. Resumes or applications sent by mail or email will not be considered. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must be registered with the Selective Service System to qualify for employment. MCCS also requires adherence to federal policies including the Department of Navy's No Fear Act and drug-free workplace regulations.
