Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of brands. JW Marriott, part of Marriott's luxury collection, is distinguished by its elegant properties located in gateway cities and unique resort destinations worldwide. This brand prioritizes the wellbeing of both guests and associates, fostering a culture where employees are empowered, valued, and encouraged to grow professionally and personally. Marriott International embraces diversity and inclusion, ensuring a workplace free from discrimination and rich in cultural and experiential diversity. Their dedication to hospitality is reflected in their promise of "Wonderful Hospitality. Always.", a core value that resonates throughout every level of the organization.
The Guest Service Support Expert role at JW Marriott represents a vital position that goes beyond the conventional food and beverage service. This role is about crafting memorable experiences for guests by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of food and beverage services. The expert will engage in a variety of tasks such as setting tables, assisting kitchen staff, cleaning work areas, and replenishing supplies, all of which contribute to an environment where guests feel valued and well cared for throughout their dining experience. The role demands high standards of professionalism, particularly in appearance, communication, and adherence to company policies and procedures. It also requires physical stamina as the position involves being on one’s feet for extended periods, navigating varied surfaces, and performing physical activities that include lifting, carrying, and bending.
This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to contribute to a vibrant team and who possess the initiative to support operational workflow in a busy hospitality environment. No prior supervisory experience or formal certifications are required, but a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a food and beverage setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Marriott International offers a supportive and inclusive work culture where associates can thrive, build their careers, and be part of a global community committed to excellence, innovation, and genuine hospitality. Individuals who join JW Marriott become part of a luxury brand that offers ample opportunities for training, professional development, and recognition.
Working as a Guest Service Support Expert at JW Marriott is not simply a job; it is a step into a career filled with purpose and the opportunity to connect with people from around the world. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the luxury experience that Marriott guests have come to expect, blending hands-on service with the broader goal of hospitality excellence. The position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, safety, and quality are prioritized, and where employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. The JW Treatment, a hallmark of the brand’s culture, ensures that associates receive the care and support necessary to succeed and enjoy their work.
