Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of general office clerical experience
  • One year of progressively responsible experience related to the position
  • Ability to work overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must complete mandatory training for overnight shift
  • Valid state driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to obtain NEXCOM Hospitality Group certification within six months of employment

Job Qualifications

  • One year of general office clerical experience demonstrating the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily
  • One year of progressively responsible experience related to the position
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests
  • Knowledge of front desk operations and property management systems preferred
  • Ability to complete mandatory training and obtain NEXCOM Hospitality Group certification within six months of employment
  • Valid state driver’s license may be required
  • Willingness to work overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude demonstrate effective communication skills interact professionally with guests answer questions concerning lodging facilities amenities provide information about local attractions
  • Assist guests with all requests in person or via telephone including making confirming or cancelling room reservations collect payments and present lodging receipts check-in check-out process authorize patron verification guest room assignments credit card processing
  • Greet and welcome guests upon sight always maintaining outstanding guest relations
  • Complete all mandatory training designated for overnight shift fill in schedule gaps due to call-outs no-shows vacations for overnight shift schedule complete all work duties and reports assigned to the shift
  • Communicate with lodging associates and chain of command concerning operations guest issues or situations requiring immediate attention
  • Apply knowledge of standard operating procedures processes and rules governing patron eligibility process reservations within guidelines provide certificate of non-availability and alternative lodging when rooms are unavailable
  • Reconcile shift transactions ensuring complete balancing while maintaining guest service at all times
  • Interact with guests resolve complaints adjust room fees adjust check-in check-out times consistent with policy refer unusual issues to supervisor utilize judgment and understanding of policies to assist guests
