The institution is committed to pioneering innovative treatments and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff. The hospital's telecommunications department plays a vital role in patient and visitor interactions, ensuring smooth communication and access within the facility.

The Guest Service Team Member at Dayton Children's - Main Campus serves as the critical first point of contact for patients, families, visitors, and staff entering the facility. This full-time role, scheduled for 40 hours per week, primarily during the hours of 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, involves creating a welcoming and supportive environment aligned with Dayton Children’s core values of compassion, collaboration, innovation, and safety. The Guest Service Team Member is responsible for screening and badging individuals accessing the hospital, providing clear and accurate directions, and offering assistance to ensure every visitor has a positive experience. This position also requires working two holidays annually to maintain continuous service.

Guest Service Team Members must be detail-oriented, follow hospital policies strictly, and consistently adhere to safety and confidentiality protocols, including HIPAA compliance. Basic computer skills are essential to navigate hospital systems and facilitate visitor management processes. Candidates with experience in healthcare, hospitality, or security, particularly within fast-paced or pediatric environments, are preferred. Bilingual abilities are considered a plus to better serve the diverse community.

This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping others and thrive in dynamic environments. The Guest Service Team Member not only contributes to the operational efficiency of Dayton Children's but also significantly impacts the comfort and trust of patients and their families during their visits.
