This position is full-time, non-management, located at 1201 Market St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It requires availability for evening and overnight shifts and is onsite, not remote. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage all aspects of the guest check-in and check-out process effectively and professionally. This includes confirming reservations in the hotel’s computer system, verifying guest identities, processing payments made by various methods such as cash, check, debit, or credit cards, and assigning rooms according to hotel policies. Additionally, the position involves operating the central telephone switchboard, responding promptly and courteously to guest requests, including wake-up calls, and preparing daily reports on arrivals and departures to ensure seamless operations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail for reviewing shift reports, verifying accuracy, and documenting relevant information such as employee shift logs and daily memos.

The employee must maintain a neat and professional appearance, uphold guest privacy and company property security, and support colleagues in achieving team goals. Effective communication skills, including clear and professional language use and telephone etiquette, are essential, as is vigilance in identifying unauthorized individuals on the property.

Job Duties
- Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in the computer system
- verify guest identities
- request payment methods
- assign rooms and issue room keys according to hotel policies
- operate the central telephone switchboard
- respond to and resolve guest requests including wake-up calls
- prepare daily reports on arrivals and departures
- identify special requests and verify report accuracy
- review employee shift logs and daily memos and document relevant information
- process all types of payments including lodging charges and cash, check, debit, or credit card payments
- compute and secure cash drawer
- perform end-of-shift activities including posting charges, generating cash and closing reports, running nightly audit backups, and updating the date
- print and fold folios and ensure delivery under guest room doors the night before departure
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- complete safety training and certifications
- maintain a neat and professional appearance
