Located at 1230 J St, Sacramento, California, Sheraton is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their Rooms & Guest Services Operations department. This is a full-time, non-management position offering a competitive hourly wage of $22.35. The role of a guest services associate at Sheraton involves being the friendly, efficient face that welcomes guests to the hotel. You will handle check-in and check-out processes, manage guest payments, and ensure all billing is accurate. Communication is key in this role, as you will prepare daily reports, relay important messages to the next shifts, and manage emergency procedures when necessary. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is a plus
- Must be able to stand, sit or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Willingness to perform reasonable job-related tasks as requested by supervisors
- Availability to work full time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage cash and handle transactions accurately
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of hotel reservation systems is a plus
Job Duties
- Organize, confirm and process guest check-in and check-out while adapting to changes
- Ensure payments by verifying and adjusting billing as needed
- Provide guests with rooms and information about the hotel, directions, amenities and local points of interest
- Prepare daily reports and communicate necessary information to the next shift staff
- Complete cashier and closing reports and accurately count cash at the end of each shift
- Accept and log wake-up calls and inform the appropriate department
- Communicate emergencies, lost items or thefts to authorities or security personnel
- Maintain contingency lists for emergencies and communicate required messages
