Job Description
AC Hotel Tallahassee Universities at the Capitol is a member of the AC Hotels family by Marriott International, located in the vibrant city of Tallahassee, Florida. This hotel is known for its elegant design and commitment to providing authentic hospitality to a diverse range of guests. As part of the Marriott International portfolio, AC Hotels benefit from a global reputation for excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. Marriott International is committed to equality, diversity, and creating welcoming environments where all employees and guests feel respected and valued. The AC Hotel Tallahassee emphasizes attention to detail and strives to deliver unique and memorable guest experiences through its dedicated team members.
The position available is for a Part-Time Service Specialist within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations department. This non-management role is based onsite at the hotel, requiring weekend and holiday availability as preferred scheduling. The Service Specialist plays a critical role beyond just guest check-ins and check-outs, actively engaging in creating a seamless, comfortable stay for all guests. They anticipate and respond to guest needs, handle various operational tasks, and contribute to the polished and professional atmosphere of the hotel.
The specialist’s responsibilities span the full cycle of guest service — from answering requests and ensuring quality food service to completing reports and recommending local events and attractions. Their work directly impacts the guests’ positive experience and satisfaction. The job demands physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and other movements such as bending and stretching. There is a strong emphasis on professionalism, maintaining company policies, and safeguarding the hotel's assets. As a member of the AC Hotels family, the Service Specialist is encouraged to bring curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality to the role, continuously seeking ways to enhance guest service.
The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED, though no prior work experience is required, nor are supervisory skills or special certifications necessary. Marriott International welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity and inclusion. Employees at AC Hotels enjoy working in a global network, gaining valuable experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a culture of respect, excellence, and innovation. Joining AC Hotel Tallahassee Universities at the Capitol means becoming part of an inspired team focused on delivering superb guest experiences and growing your personal and professional potential.
