The role available at WKS is for a Front Desk Associate at one of the company’s hotel properties. This key position is critical to ensuring a seamless and positive guest experience from check-in to check-out. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for accommodating hotel guests by registering them, assigning rooms, issuing room keys, and managing reservations efficiently. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts, processing payments, and acting as a guest advocate to enhance their overall stay. This person must handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring that each guest's concerns are addressed by the appropriate personnel to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

This position requires an individual with excellent guest service and communication skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced hotel environment while maintaining a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. The Front Desk Associate will prepare arrival packets in accordance with established protocols, use computer systems to process reservations via telephone or walk-in guests, and ensure the work station is clean and presentable at all times. Additional duties include daily bank audits, key control, clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and data input, and other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Job Duties

  • Process guest check-in and check-out
  • Promptly assist guests with general inquiries and/or complaints by efficient direction of inquiries/complaints to appropriate personnel or departments, including follow-up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Provide guests with information about their accommodations, amenities, services, local area, etc
  • Maintain contact with guests during their stay to ensure service and expectations are being met
  • Rectify guest statements for any credits and/or charges as necessary
  • Prepare arrival packets in accordance with established protocol for guest arrivals
  • Use computer to process reservations via telephone and/or walk-in's, adhering to established Customer Service Standards
  • Maintain a clean and presentable work station as well as a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Prepare daily bank audits and other reports as required
  • Responsible for key control
  • Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, recording, mailing, and computer data input processing as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
