Job Description

Marriott International is a globally renowned hospitality company recognized for its commitment to quality service, diverse employee culture, and fostering inclusive workplace environments. As a leader in the hotel and lodging industry, Marriott operates a wide range of brands that cater to various customer needs and experiences. One of the standout brands under Marriott’s umbrella is Westin Hotels & Resorts, which is dedicated to promoting wellness and well-being among its guests and associates, ensuring that both guests and employees have a rejuvenating and positive experience throughout their stay and work period.

Located in Rosemont, Illinois, the Westin is seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join its team as Guest Service Experts in the food and beverage department. This position is full-time and non-management, offering an hourly pay rate ranging from $12.64 to $13.84 with additional eligibility to receive tips. The role is situated onsite at the Westin property, where team members will engage directly with guests, creating memorable dining experiences that emphasize exceptional service and hospitality.

The Guest Service Expert position is not just about serving food and drinks; it’s about crafting a complete and memorable experience for every guest. Individuals in this role contribute significantly to the atmosphere and smooth operation of the dining areas, ensuring that guests feel welcomed, attended to, and satisfied. The role requires a proactive approach where associates take initiative to deliver services such as setting tables, efficiently communicating with kitchen staff, engaging with guests, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas and supplies.

Physical demands are an inherent part of the job, as the role requires being on one’s feet for extended periods, navigating potentially uneven or slippery surfaces, and handling tasks that require moderate physical effort. This includes lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 pounds alone or up to 50 pounds with assistance, along with movements such as bending, twisting, and stooping. Attention to personal appearance, adherence to safety protocols, and upholding company policies are critical components of professional conduct in this role.

Westin and Marriott International place great emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive work environment where associates of all backgrounds feel valued and empowered. Diversity is celebrated as a vital strength of the workforce, and the company is committed to equal opportunity employment without discrimination based on race, disability, veteran status, gender, or any other protected category.

Associates at the Westin have access to comprehensive benefits designed to support personal well-being and career growth. Marriott International offers programs and perks that promote a balanced lifestyle, wellness, and continuous professional development, demonstrating its commitment to the happiness and success of its employees.

The ideal candidate for the Guest Service Expert position will be passionate about hospitality, active and positive, with a commitment to personal well-being that aligns with Westin’s brand mission. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an esteemed global hotel brand, to grow professionally, and to contribute to a renowned wellness-focused environment. If you are looking for a position where you can develop your skills, contribute meaningfully to guest experiences, and be part of an inclusive and supportive team, this role at Westin Rosemont is an excellent fit.
