The role of a Guest Services Associate at United Dairy Farmers is crucial in maintaining the company’s reputation for excellent customer interactions. This part-time position, requiring 25 hours or less per week, offers shifts across the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with a pay range from $12.50 to $14.50 per hour. The Guest Services Associate reports directly to the Store Manager and plays an integral role in delivering the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, which guides the customer interaction phases: Invited, Welcomed, Well-Served, Respected, and Fulfilled. The associate is expected to provide courteous and efficient service, ensuring that every guest feels valued and satisfied, with the intention to return.

Responsibilities include operating the point of sale (POS) system and gas console to process transactions accurately, preparing DipSide products such as shakes, malts, ice cream sundaes, and yogurts, and maintaining the store’s merchandise displays and cleanliness standards. The role also emphasizes security, requiring vigilance to prevent shoplifting and gas drive-offs, as well as adherence to tobacco, alcohol, and robbery deterrence policies. Physical tasks include stocking shelves, managing refrigerated items, cleaning equipment, and ensuring a safe and inviting store environment. The position demands punctuality, honesty, ethical conduct, compliance with all laws, and adherence to company policies.

Ideal candidates must meet minimum physical requirements such as the ability to lift packages up to 21 pounds, tolerate exposure to various temperatures, and perform basic arithmetic and transaction handling accurately. ability to clean surfaces
ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 minutes
ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as high as 33 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes
ability to lift at least 10 pounds from floor to height of 5 feet
ability to place a 21-pound package into a dip cabinet 3 feet above the floor

Job Duties

Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience
greet guests with a warm, authentic hello
ensure store is prepared and ready for guests at all times
anticipate needs of guests and provide assistance to ensure each guest leaves satisfied
prepare shakes, malts, ice cream, yogurt, sundaes, sodas, and hand-packed containers
operate point of sale system and gas console accurately
authorize and control gas sales
handle coins, currency, checks, credit card transactions, coupons, and food stamps
stock merchandise on shelves, displays, milk box, and freezers
ensure dip cabinet is filled and presentable
maintain store and parking lot cleanliness and organization
monitor product and refrigeration equipment temperatures
maintain awareness to minimize shoplifting and gas drive-offs
control cash register levels using drop procedures
do vendor log-in
follow tobacco, alcohol, and robbery deterrence programs
complete accurate time records and customer first documents
perform other duties as assigned by management
