Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Spenard, just one mile from Anchorage International Airport and four miles from downtown Anchorage, the hotel presents an ideal location for travelers looking to explore the scenic beauty and vibrant culture of Alaska. The hotel features 248 guest rooms and boasts three exceptional food and beverage outlets, which provide guests with diverse dining experiences while they enjoy their stay. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is committed to delivering memorable and exceptional guest experiences by combining excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere. This blend of location, services, and hospitality has made the hotel a preferred destination for both leisure and business travelers alike.

The role available is for a part-time seasonal Guest Service Agent at the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel. This position is a vital front-line role responsible for creating an extraordinary guest experience through friendly, professional, and efficient service. The Guest Service Agent is entrusted with duties such as registering guests, assigning rooms, settling guest accounts, and collaborating with other hotel departments to accommodate and fulfill guest requests. A major priority for this role is to ensure 100 percent guest satisfaction by accurately and promptly addressing guest inquiries using clear communication and providing precise information. Beyond typical front desk duties, the Guest Service Agent actively promotes hotel accommodations, services, and local attractions to enhance the guests' overall experience. Additionally, the agent arranges services requested by guests by coordinating with various departments, keeps track of special billing instructions, and helps maintain smooth hotel operations even during peak periods or emergencies.

This position requires patience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm and tactful under pressure. The ideal candidate will have prior guest service experience, preferably in a hotel setting, and be proficient in using basic software such as Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management systems like OPERA/PMS. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. High school diploma or equivalent is required to apply. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel fosters a collaborative work environment where team members contribute positive energy and embrace professionalism in their interactions with guests and colleagues. As a part-time seasonal position, this role provides flexibility and an opportunity to gain valuable hospitality experience in a distinguished hotel setting. The hotel is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding employment practices. Applicants should be prepared to undergo pre-employment drug testing and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
