In this role, you will be positioned at the very center of the hotel’s operations — the front office. As the face of our front desk, you represent our welcoming spirit and exceptional service standards. Your role is crucial in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for each guest, sharing your expert knowledge about local attractions including restaurants, entertainment, and sporting events to enhance their stay. The front desk is where many interactions begin and end, making your contribution vital to the guests' overall experience.
You will manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently while making every guest feel valued and cared for during their entire visit. Proficiency in using computers, databases, and property management systems will be essential to handle the technical aspects of the position with ease and accuracy. Since the environment is fast-paced, excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism are necessary to ensure smooth operations and effective resolution of any challenges. Accountability with handling cash transactions responsibly is also a key component of this position.
Additionally, the ability to multitask and maintain a positive, can-do attitude even in high-pressure situations will serve you well in this position. The role not only demands excellent service skills but also physical flexibility; you will spend a considerable amount of time standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, and carrying items up to 50 pounds. This job requires accommodating varying work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
