Job Description
This position is with a reputable hotel, committed to providing excellent guest service and maintaining high standards of hospitality and sustainability. The hotel operates with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests through friendly and courteous service that aligns with its brand values and environmental responsibility. The hotel environment is dynamic, open to all who strive for excellence and value the principles of integrity, flexibility, and accountability.
As a Front Desk Agent, your role is crucial in making a positive first impression and ensuring guests feel welcome and well taken care of throughout their stay. You will be responsible for greeting guests upon arrival, managing room registrations, verifying payment methods, and efficiently processing guest check-ins and check-outs. You will also handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset. This role involves using phone systems and property management software (PMS) to make and confirm reservations, communicate messages, and maintain accurate billing records. Occasional assistance in the breakfast area or with luggage, especially during busy periods, is also part of the responsibilities to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
The Front Desk Agent position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $19.00, reflecting the importance of the role in maintaining the hotel's smooth operations and superior guest services. Employment schedules vary and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts, which provides a dynamic work environment. Physical stamina is required as the role entails standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional bending or crouching. This role offers a growth path leading to supervisory positions like Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator and further advancement to Front Office Manager or Sales Manager, making it a prime opportunity for those interested in a career within hospitality management.
The hotel believes in fostering a culture where people are valued as the core capability, emphasizing heartfelt service, a commitment to excellence, agility in adapting to change, and personal accountability. If you have a passion for guest service and are eager to contribute to a team that holds these values, this role offers a meaningful and rewarding work experience.
