The role being offered is that of a Guest Service Agent, commonly known as a Front Desk Agent, a pivotal position in the hospitality industry. This role is the first point of contact for guests, making it essential in shaping the overall guest experience from arrival through departure. The Guest Service Agent greets guests warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for the entire stay. Beyond greeting, this role involves managing the guest registry process including check-in and check-out, updating reservations and guest profiles with complete accuracy, and handling room assignments with speed and precision. A crucial responsibility is the issuance of room keys while maintaining guest privacy and confidentiality to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Exceptional interpersonal communication and guest service skills are critical in this role, as the agent often acts as a hotel ambassador, assisting guests by answering inquiries related to the hotel’s facilities and services in a helpful and informative manner. Furthermore, the Guest Service Agent supports the hotel’s revenue goals by promoting room upgrades and other hotel amenities, fostering positive relations with both guests and internal departments to drive cross-department cooperation and enhance guest satisfaction.

The role requires working flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating a commitment to guest service at all times. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work all shifts including overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • must have open availability work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel front office operations preferred
  • proficiency in English required, bilingual is an asset

Job Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and sincere welcome
  • perform all functions of guest registry including check in and check out, updating reservations and guest profiles to 100% accuracy, swift but correct room assignments
  • issue keys while ensuring utmost safety and confidentiality
  • maintain and protect guest privacy and discretion
  • settle guest accounts while ensuring all services standards are followed
  • assist guests and answer inquiries regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • drive revenue through room upsells and cross-promotion of other hotel outlets
