This role is for a Front Desk Agent at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Tallahassee, Florida. As the first point of contact for guests entering and exiting the hotel, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience. This position demands a friendly, helpful demeanor and the ability to manage multiple tasks with efficiency and professionalism. Beyond standard front desk duties such as checking guests in and out, handling guest records, cash handling, monitoring guest satisfaction, and resolving issues, the role also involves assisting in food service during breakfast and the 5:30 p.m. Kickback hours. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- strong communication skills
- basic math skills for cash handling
- ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- ability to stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Warm and friendly manner in relating to and interacting with the public
- demonstrated attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- familiarity with handling money, making change, and using office machines in day-to-day activities
- ability to speak and receive direction in English
- willingness and ability to work alone as scheduled
Job Duties
- Serve as the happy, helpful face of the hotel to guests entering and departing
- assist guests in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner
- perform front desk related functions including checking guests in and out, promoting company programs, maintaining guest records, cash handling, monitoring guest satisfaction, and problem resolution
- assist with breakfast and 5:30 p.m. Kickback service including food preparation, setup, guest service as host or bartender, and cleanup
- present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers
- ensure an exceptional guest experience by providing courteous, friendly guest service with a +1 Service attitude
