The competitive hourly wage for the Front Desk Associate position ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s commitment to attracting and retaining quality talent.
The Front Desk Associate represents the critical first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel. This role requires delivering exemplary customer service by greeting, registering, and attending to guests with courtesy and professionalism, consistently adhering to the hotel’s brand and sustainability standards. As a pivotal team member, the associate is tasked with managing reservations, processing payments, addressing guest inquiries, and resolving complaints to uphold the hotel’s reputation for outstanding service. The position also offers an attractive career path, with opportunities to advance to roles such as Front Desk Supervisor, Sales Coordinator, Front Office Manager, or Sales Manager.
The Front Desk Associate's responsibilities encompass a wide range of front office activities. Immediate guest greeting and assistance form the foundation of the role, as well as efficient registration and room assignment. The associate establishes payment methods, verifies credit, computes and collects bills, and is proficient in using Property Management Systems (PMS) for smooth operations. Guest satisfaction is paramount, with proactive responses to requests and complaints vital to guest retention and positive reviews. Additionally, the associate ensures secure management of guest valuables and assists in related hotel functions such as breakfast service or luggage handling during busy periods. Compliance with workplace safety regulations and active participation in maintaining high guest satisfaction scores further underline the importance of this role. This position also involves administrative duties like bookkeeping and account balancing, supporting the overall financial integrity of the front office.
HHM Hotels emphasizes a safe and supportive work environment, expecting associates to observe all safety protocols and to work collaboratively with other hotel departments. The position requires physical stamina including prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate weekends, holidays, and shift work. The company’s core values—People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It—guide the Front Desk Associate in delivering excellence in every interaction.
