The Front Desk Agent role at Drury Hotels is integral to maintaining the brand’s reputation for exceptional service. As the first and last point of contact for guests, Front Desk Agents serve as the welcoming face of the hotel, responsible for creating positive first impressions and ensuring guests have smooth check-in and check-out experiences. In this position, employees are expected to perform a variety of front desk-related functions including handling guest inquiries, managing reservations and records, processing payments, and diligently monitoring guest satisfaction to promptly resolve any issues. Additionally, the role involves assisting with food service activities during certain hotel dining events like the breakfast service and the 5:30 p.m. Kickback, which may include preparing food, setting up, serving, and cleaning up afterward. Through these duties, Front Desk Agents directly contribute to the overall guest experience, embodying the hotel’s service philosophy of a '+1 Service attitude' that consistently aims to exceed guest expectations.

  • previous customer service experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Warm and friendly manner in relating to and interacting with the public
  • demonstrated attention to detail while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • familiarity with handling money, making change, and using office machines in day-to-day activities
  • ability to speak and receive direction in English both written and verbal
  • willingness and ability to work alone as scheduled

Job Duties

  • Serve as the happy, helpful face of the hotel to guests entering and departing the front door
  • assist guests in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner
  • perform front desk functions including check-in and check-out, promoting company programs, maintaining guest records, cash handling, monitoring guest satisfaction, and problem resolution
  • assist with breakfast and 5:30 p.m. Kickback service including food preparation, set up, guest service as host or bartender, and clean-up
  • present and maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality to promote the Drury culture to customers and co-workers
  • ensure exceptional guest experiences by providing courteous, friendly, guest service with a plus one service attitude
