Job Description
HHM Hotels is a prominent and well-respected hotel chain known for its dedication to providing exceptional hospitality experiences to guests worldwide. With an emphasis on creating welcoming environments that combine comfort, efficiency, and sustainable practices, HHM Hotels has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry. They continuously strive to meet and exceed brand and industry standards, ensuring that every guest feels valued and cared for throughout their stay. The company promotes a culture of excellence, agility, and ownership among its workforce, which is reflected in their motto: People Are Our Capability – Hearts That Serve – Only Excellence – Stay Nimble - Own It. Their work environments are diverse and dynamic, reflecting the vibrancy and fast-paced nature of the hospitality sector, particularly in hotel front desk and guest services roles.
The role of the Front Desk Associate at HHM Hotels is a vital position that sits at the heart of the guest experience. This position is responsible for welcoming guests promptly and cordially, registering and assigning rooms efficiently, and ensuring that all processes such as payment methods, reservations, and guest requests are managed with precision and professionalism. The Front Desk Associate acts as the primary point of contact for guests, embodying the hotel’s commitment to friendly, courteous service while adhering rigorously to brand and sustainability standards.
Key responsibilities include handling guest check-in and check-out procedures, confirming reservations, processing payments, and managing communication between guests and hotel departments using a Property Management System (PMS) and telephones. The role also involves securing valuable items for guests, addressing guest complaints effectively, assisting with luggage or breakfast service during peak times, and supporting overall guest satisfaction initiatives. The position offers growth opportunities within the HHM Hotels family, including potential progressions to Front Desk Supervisor, Sales Coordinator, Front Office Manager, or Sales Manager roles.
Working in this role requires a mix of customer service expertise, attention to detail, multitasking, and a genuine eagerness to assist guests in a timely and respectful manner. It also demands physical stamina to accommodate the physical aspects of the job, including standing for extended periods, walking, lifting moderate weights, and performing various movements such as bending or crouching. HHM Hotels strongly emphasizes workplace safety, requiring employees to practice safe work habits and comply with OSHA and other applicable safety standards.
Beyond job duties, HHM Hotels offers its employees a competitive benefits package designed to support their wellbeing and professional growth. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match program, daily pay options, life insurance, and access to confidential wellness and assistance resources. The company also provides travel discounts, commuter benefits, educational and professional development opportunities, and incentive programs such as referral bonuses. The work schedule in this role may vary and include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts to accommodate the needs of the hotel and its guests.
By joining HHM Hotels as a Front Desk Associate, candidates become part of a passionate and service-oriented team dedicated to delivering excellence in hospitality. The company fosters a collaborative and empowering workplace culture where employees are encouraged to own their roles, stay agile in a fast-moving environment, and continually strive for excellence in all aspects of their work.
