This portfolio includes owned, managed, and franchised hotels, reflecting the company’s extensive reach and commitment to providing exceptional hospitality. Sonesta prides itself on its dedication to the human side of hospitality, delivering service with passion and loyalty driven by purpose. Their mission is to create meaningful experiences that genuinely connect with guests, ensuring quality, value, and unparalleled service at every property. The company operates under the philosophy of "Together We Thrive," which highlights their commitment to fostering growth, teamwork, and excellence in all aspects of hotel service and guest interactions.

The Guest Services Agent (GSA) plays a vital role in supporting the hotel's operational success by managing front desk responsibilities and assisting the Operations Manager. This role is the first point of contact for all guests entering the hotel, representing the Sonesta brand and setting the tone for the guest experience. The GSA is tasked with administering front desk technology systems and maintaining excellent in-house guest relations during their shift. Key responsibilities include registering guests, issuing room keys, and providing detailed information about hotel services and room locations. Additionally, the GSA manages cash and credit card transactions in line with established procedures, ensuring security and accuracy in financial dealings.

The GSA adheres to seasonal demand strategies communicated by the hotel management team and is engaged in fostering teamwork through effective communication with other shifts and different departments. An important part of the role is ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, particularly concerning health, safety, and the sale of alcoholic beverages. The GSA also supports the hotel’s retail services by providing attentive service to guests in the shop and bar areas.

The job offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 and includes opportunities for professional development, including required certifications like ServSafe and possibly TIPS. This position demands physical activity such as standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, highlighting the need for stamina and physical fitness. The GSA works varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to join an international brand known for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, supported by a robust benefits package designed to enhance employees' well-being and financial security.
