The Front Desk Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks that include managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments, confirming reservations, and attending promptly to guest requests and concerns. The role also involves ensuring the safety and security of guest valuables and contributing to the overall guest satisfaction scores by delivering attentive and personalized service. Additionally, this position requires the ability to perform some bookkeeping activities and maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • greet guests immediately and offer assistance
  • register and assign guests to hotel rooms
  • establish methods of payment and verify credit
  • make and confirm reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and provide change
  • transmit and receive messages using telephones or PMS system
  • respond promptly to guest requests
  • receive and resolve guest complaints, escalating to supervisor if necessary
  • secure guest valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes
  • perform bookkeeping tasks such as balancing accounts and audits
  • work toward increasing guest satisfaction scores
  • practice safe work habits and follow OSHA and MSDS standards
  • assist with breakfast area or luggage during peak times
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
