Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service experience or equivalent training required
  • knowledge of PMS systems preferred

Job Duties

  • greet guests immediately and offer assistance
  • register and assign guests to hotel rooms
  • establish methods of payment and verify credit
  • make and confirm reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and provide change
  • transmit and receive messages using telephones or PMS system
  • respond promptly to guest requests
  • receive and resolve guest complaints, escalating to supervisor if necessary
  • secure guest valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit boxes
  • perform bookkeeping tasks such as balancing accounts and audits
  • work toward increasing guest satisfaction scores
  • practice safe work habits and follow OSHA and MSDS standards
  • assist with breakfast area or luggage during peak times
  • ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
