Job Description
Kimpton Hotels is a renowned boutique hotel company known for its dedication to creating genuine, heartfelt human connections and unique hospitality experiences. Founded in 1981 in San Francisco by Bill Kimpton, this company revolutionized the hotel industry by rebelling against the impersonal, generic hospitality standards that prevailed at the time. Kimpton Hotels emphasizes a culture that celebrates individuality, creativity, and a zest for life, fostering an environment where employees can be their authentic selves and feel empowered to contribute meaningfully. The company believes that meaningful work improves the lives of not only its guests but also its employees, owners, and communities. This dedication to creating outstanding experiences for guests and coworkers alike defines the Kimpton brand and helps maintain its reputation as a boutique hotel that offers more than just accommodations but memorable and personal connections that compel guests to return.
The role of Guest Service Agent at Kimpton Hotels plays a critical part in upholding the brand's commitment to exceptional hospitality. This frontline position involves managing guest registration and check-out processes, handling communications through the PBX system, and managing mail and message services with a high degree of professionalism and warmth. As a Guest Service Agent, the individual acts as an ambassador for the hotel, delivering personalized service that goes beyond expectations and building meaningful relationships with guests. The position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can independently manage responsibilities, and has a passion for exceeding guest expectations through thoughtful attention and care. The Guest Service Agent helps ensure smooth daily operations by coordinating with various departments such as Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet, providing seamless service to all guests.
This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are eager to work in a boutique hotel setting that prizes creativity, self-leadership, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The role is suited for those who appreciate an irreverent, exciting, and empowering workplace culture that encourages individuality and personal growth. Working as a Guest Service Agent at Kimpton Hotels means being part of a team that values diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences, allowing every employee to shine in their own way. This role also offers a chance to develop strong guest relationships that not only enhance the guest experience but also contribute significantly to the hotel's success. Emphasis is placed on providing informed, friendly, and confident service while managing hotel systems accurately and adhering to hotel policies and procedures. The schedule for this role is flexible, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, to accommodate the dynamic nature of hotel operations.
Kimpton Hotels is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, embracing a culture where differences are celebrated and where every employee is encouraged to be their authentic self. This position invites candidates who share an innate passion for making a positive impact on others' lives and who are motivated by meaningful work in the hospitality industry. If you are enthusiastic about delivering top-tier guest services in a lively, supportive environment that feels more like a community than a workplace, then Kimpton Hotels offers a career path full of opportunity, growth, and connection.
