Within the Shaner Hotels family is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Philadelphia / Ridley Park Springhill Suites, a 130-room property situated conveniently near the Philadelphia International Airport. This location is ideal for business and leisure travelers alike, offering amenities such as a 24-hour shuttle service, an indoor pool, an indoor bar, and complimentary breakfast to enhance guest comfort and convenience. The role in question is for a dedicated housekeeping team member responsible for maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards throughout the hotel. This position demands flexibility with scheduling, including availability on weekends, holidays, and various shifts, underscoring the dynamic nature of hotel operations.
The housekeeping associate will play an integral role in delivering outstanding guest experiences by ensuring guest rooms are cleaned and serviced consistently according to stringent franchise and hotel standards. Beyond routine cleaning duties, this role requires attentiveness to guest complaints with a professional approach to resolving issues and guaranteeing satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include observing house and safety rules, proper use of cleaning chemicals, handling security procedures, reporting maintenance deficiencies, and restocking supplies. The role also involves periodic deep or seasonal cleaning tasks, which contribute significantly to the upkeep and overall appeal of the property. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of cleaning experience, preferably within a hotel environment, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and coworkers. Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments
- Observe all house and safety rules housekeeping room procedures and security procedures
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms by category priority according to franchise and hotel standards
- Return and restock cart at end of shift
- Complete additional deep cleaning and seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned
