The role of Guest Room Attendant at the Santa Ana Tribal Resort and Casino is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the hotel's rooms and common areas. The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for thorough cleaning and servicing in accordance with established standards and procedures, ensuring that every guest enjoys a comfortable and pristine environment throughout their stay. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction. The attendant performs a variety of tasks, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, replenishing guest and work supplies, and utilizing cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Additionally, this role involves maintaining an organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines, reporting maintenance issues, and supporting the hotel’s guest service policies.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • able to obtain and maintain Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license
  • smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems
  • proficient in using a smartphone for company applications, email, and texting
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work various hours including weekends and holidays
  • physically able to lift and move up to 100 pounds
  • able to stand and walk for long durations
  • preference given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner

Job Duties

  • Change linens
  • make beds
  • dust and vacuum
  • scrub and clean floors, toilets, tubs, and sinks
  • remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, glass, surfaces, clean interior windows
  • replenish guest supplies as well as work supplies for self and others
  • fill carts, closets, and perform projects or deep cleaning when assigned
  • utilize equipment such as pan and broom, vacuum, cleaning kits, small scrubbers
  • ensure all equipment is used and maintained according to proper procedures
  • adhere to all safety guidelines including the use of protective equipment
  • utilize chemicals in a proper, safe, and responsible manner according to standards
  • maintain proper in-room and stock product levels, clean and organized work area, cart, and supplies
  • communicate problems, challenges or unusual matters of significance to supervisor
  • clean and service all types of hotel rooms and common areas in accordance to established policy, procedures, and service standards
  • complete maintenance work orders and pass on to supervisors or management
  • support and comply with courtesy and guest service guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • exhibit integrity by ensuring safekeeping of guest items and belongings
  • display passion for the hospitality and gaming experience of guests
  • take personal responsibility for delivering excellent guest experience
  • ensure guests’ issues are resolved promptly, courteously, and efficiently
