The Housekeeper role at InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is vital to the guest experience and holds the position of being the "Heart of the House." This role focuses on ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, which is a core reason guests choose and return to the hotel. The Housekeeper team plays a key role in creating memorable guest stays by paying close attention to detail and delivering outstanding sanitation and tidiness. Candidates who join the Housekeeping team become part of a collaborative, guest-centric environment dedicated to excellence and authentic service. The position demands strong teamwork, effective engagement with guests, and the careful handling of equipment and supplies. Additionally, the role offers room for career progression into supervisory or management roles such as Housekeeping Supervisor, Manager, or Executive Housekeeper. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Previous housekeeping experience helpful

  • Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs

Job Duties

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
  • Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked
  • Proper utilization of equipment supplies and guest amenities
  • Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
  • Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
  • Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards, and properly reporting as found
