Job Description

This job opening is for a Guest Room Attendant who will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within the Pueblo of Sandia’s hospitality facilities. This role involves cleaning and servicing guest rooms efficiently to provide a positive and memorable experience for all visitors. The position adheres to strict housekeeping procedures and global standard operating practices. Working in this role requires a commitment to excellence, punctuality, and a thorough approach to daily tasks such as changing linens, vacuuming, dusting surfaces, and cleaning bathrooms.

Additionally, this role requires attentive customer service skills, the ability to report maintenance issues, and participation in department training programs to safely handle cleaning agents and equipment. Physical requirements include the ability to perform tasks involving balancing, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing for extended periods, among other activities. The employee is expected to work harmoniously with colleagues and management, demonstrate professionalism, and regularly attend scheduled shifts per company attendance policies.

Though no prior experience is necessary as training will be provided, preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and previous housekeeping experience. Successful candidates must also pass a stringent background investigation and comply with pre-employment and random drug screenings. Job Requirements

  • Must have physical ability to perform duties including balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
  • Must comply with attendance policies
  • Ability to work harmoniously with team members
  • Must follow all housekeeping and global SOPs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and directions

Job Duties

  • Change bed linens and duvet covers daily
  • Vacuum entire guest room area daily
  • Dust all furniture and surfaces daily
  • Remove smudges from all surfaces, windows, and mirrors
  • Thoroughly clean the bathroom area including wash tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, and doors
  • Replenish guest room with new amenities
  • Replenish housekeeping cart with supplies for work area
  • Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and signify completion
  • Provide customer service by assisting guests with questions or requests
  • Report any guest room and maintenance defects
  • Attend and complete required training such as bio clean up, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning chemicals
  • Turn in lost and found items properly tagged
  • Comply with housekeeping and global standard operating procedures
  • Remove food service trays, microwaves, rollaway beds, and cribs as necessary
  • Serve as mentor to new attendants when assigned
  • Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance according to schedule
