Job Description
The position of Guest Room Attendant is a vital role within the hospitality industry, particularly within hotel operations. This role is offered by a reputable hotel that prioritizes delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards. The company is committed to a service culture termed 'Skys the Limit Guest Service', which emphasizes exceptional housekeeping services designed to delight guests and foster repeat business through a consistently high standard of care and attention.
As a Guest Room Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and bathrooms in accordance with the directives of the Hotel Supervisor. This position requires a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the sanitary and aesthetic quality of the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. Your duties will encompass a wide range of housekeeping tasks, ensuring that each room not only meets but exceeds cleanliness standards, and that all guest needs and requests are handled promptly and with care.
Your daily responsibilities will include making beds with fresh linens, dusting all surfaces thoroughly, scrubbing floors, toilets, showers, and sinks, vacuuming carpets, and removing fingerprints and smudges from mirrors and glass. Additionally, you will replenish guest supplies and amenities, manage the cleaning cart efficiently, and carry out inspections to identify any safety hazards or maintenance issues. Reporting such findings to the proper departments is an essential part of the role, ensuring the overall quality and safety of the hotel environment.
Interaction with guests is a key element of the role. The hotel encourages its attendants to actively participate in its Skys the Limit service culture by anticipating guest needs, responding promptly to requests, and always acknowledging guests with a positive demeanor, regardless of how busy the environment may be. This frontline position requires excellent communication skills and a professional yet friendly attitude to enhance the guest experience.
Physical fitness and dexterity are important as the role involves tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, stretching, kneeling, and reaching. The job also requires frequent walking, standing for extended periods, and working in a non-smoking environment that includes exposure to varied lighting and occasionally outdoor weather conditions, especially within the casino and hotel floors.
This opportunity is ideally suited for individuals who have prior housekeeping experience, preferably within hospitality settings. Candidates should be at least 18 years of age and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with efficiency and accuracy. Knowledge in the safe mixing and usage of cleaning products is essential to ensure the well-being of both guests and staff members.
The Guest Room Attendant role represents a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within a prominent hotel, where your efforts directly contribute to creating memorable guest experiences and supporting the overall success of the establishment. The hotel values dedication, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality, rewarding team members who exemplify these qualities with a positive working environment and opportunities for professional growth.
