The resort operates a variety of lodging options, including Sundance Cottages, and offers a wide array of amenities such as hiking, skiing, dining, and spa experiences tailored to elevate each guest's stay.
The Front Desk Agent position at Sundance Resort plays a critical role as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for a refined and memorable stay. This role is essential in delivering world-class hospitality through polished and inviting interactions, ensuring every guest feels valued and warmly welcomed. As a Front Desk Agent, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities including managing arrivals and departures with flair and precision, coordinating group check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining financial accuracy during guest transactions. Your role involves effective communication and coordination with multiple departments such as the bell staff, concierge, and switchboard to guarantee seamless service delivery.
This position offers a variable shift schedule from 6:30 am to midnight, typically 9-hour shifts, and includes weekend and holiday availability, reflecting the resort’s commitment to 24/7 guest service. With a competitive hourly rate of $17.00 plus upgrade commissions, both part-time and full-time candidates are encouraged to apply for this year-round opportunity. Additionally, this role requires individuals who possess excellent organizational and communication skills, task management proficiency, and previous front desk or resort experience is highly valued.
Beyond standard duties, the Front Desk Agent is entrusted with anticipating guest needs, solving issues with discretion, recognizing VIP and repeat guests with thoughtful touches, and supporting sustainability initiatives by informing guests about the resort’s environmental efforts. The job demands stamina and physical ability, including prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, as well as operating two-way radios and computer systems using SMS knowledge. Candidates must be 21 years or older and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
The working environment primarily indoors features moderate noise levels, but there are occasions where exposure to winter weather may be required. Those who thrive in dynamic hospitality settings and are passionate about delivering luxury service in an eco-conscious resort environment will find this role fulfilling and engaging. In return, Sundance Resort offers benefits including employee discounts on dining and amenities, 401k match, and season passes—all designed to enhance the overall employee experience and engagement at this remarkable mountain destination.
