Job Description
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Capitol is part of the renowned Marriott International portfolio, known globally for its commitment to quality, service excellence, and inclusivity within the hospitality industry. Located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, this extended-stay hotel offers guests a comfortable, relaxed environment with a fun, casual, and residential atmosphere. Each suite features a full kitchen and the hotel prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for long-term guests who need to maintain productivity while enjoying personal touches that make every stay memorable. As a trusted brand within Marriott’s extended stay segment, TownePlace Suites not only focuses on guest comfort but also fosters a culture of respect and teamwork where associates are valued for their unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences.
The role of a Guest Experience Specialist at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Capitol is vital to delivering the hotel’s promise of a memorable and unique guest experience. This full-time, non-management position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the guest journey, far beyond traditional front desk duties. Guest Experience Specialists are empowered to act independently with a “guest first” mindset, taking initiative in delivering a wide variety of services that ensure guests feel welcomed and cared for throughout their entire stay. This includes handling operational needs, responding to guest requests promptly, completing necessary reports, delivering quality meal services, and providing valuable local area information. The position requires employees to be on their feet most of the time and physically active, involving standing, sitting, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Beyond technical tasks, Guest Experience Specialists are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, including maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies, protecting confidential information, and caring for company assets. They must always present themselves with a professional appearance and communicate in a manner that reflects the high standards of the Marriott brand. This role is well-suited to candidates holding a high school diploma or equivalent, with no prior work or supervisory experience required, making it an excellent entry point into the hospitality industry. Marriott International is committed to equal employment opportunities and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to join their inclusive team.
Working at TownePlace Suites means joining a friendly team where associates support one another and strive to create small yet meaningful moments that brighten each guest’s day. Employees have the chance to grow within a globally recognized hospitality leader, gain valuable industry experience, and contribute to a culture that values diversity, respect, and professional development. For individuals seeking a rewarding role in guest services with a company that values their best work and personal growth, the Guest Experience Specialist at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Nashville Downtown/Capitol offers an exciting and supportive environment.
