Job Duties
- provides a warm welcome to patients, families, vendors, visitors, and staff upon arrival and departure
- serves as a patient/family liaison to promote family-centered care and identify resources
- assists with problem resolution during entry or exit processes
- coordinates information collection with hospital departments for accurate referrals
- maintains a clean, neat, and comfortable environment
- communicates hospital policies and procedures positively
- ensures infection prevention through hand hygiene
- interfaces with affiliated facilities to expedite outpatient services
- physically escorts patients and families to clinical areas
- serves as a liaison between clinic departments, physicians, patients, and families
- provides concierge services including transportation arrangements
- locates and provides inpatient room numbers, outpatient clinic locations, and general hospital information
- answers telephones and provides appointment and hospital information
- maintains positive working relationships with hospital staff
- identifies and implements ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction
- stays current on customer service developments and integrates new knowledge
- maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines related to the Guest Experience Department
- develops internal controls to promote adherence to laws and accreditation requirements
