Job Description

McH&N Management Company, part of The Thomas Organization, is a distinguished network of McDonald's restaurants located in Northeast New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. Owned and operated by Herbert and Nellie Thomas, who bring over 30 years of experience as McDonald's franchisees, this organization takes immense pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience. The Thomas Organization is dedicated to ensuring that every customer leaves their restaurant satisfied and happy. Their commitment is expressed through a consistent focus on serving safe, hot, and fresh food, paired with friendly service "done with a smile" in an impeccably clean environment. This commitment to excellence is reflected in the company's daily operations and employee culture.

The Guest Experience Leader (GEL) role is pivotal within the Thomas Organization's restaurants. Acting as the "face of the restaurant," GELs are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customer satisfaction and loyalty. This position is not just about hospitality but is about leadership within the restaurant setting, where the GEL actively engages guests with friendliness and professionalism. Starting with greeting customers upon entry, this role involves assisting guests with self-ordering kiosks, addressing any concerns or questions, and generally ensuring each visitor’s experience is positive from entry to exit. A crucial part of the GEL's responsibility includes engaging families, especially children, providing small treats such as balloons or coloring books to enhance the family-friendly atmosphere.

The Thomas Organization values its team members by offering competitive wages starting at $15.49 per hour, with potential increases up to $16.00 based on experience. In addition to fair pay, employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, life and accident insurance, and exclusive McDonald's perks like discounts on entertainment and telecommunications. The organization also supports personal and educational development, providing opportunities like free online high school diplomas, college tuition assistance up to $3,000 annually, free or low-cost college degrees through the Colorado Technical Institute, and free English language classes. Employee meals and uniforms are provided, contributing to a supportive and efficient working environment. Flexible scheduling options help accommodate the diverse needs of employees, covering various shifts including breakfast, lunch, nights, overnights, and weekends.

Guest Experience Leaders at McDonald's under the Thomas Organization are expected to embody the brand's core values by maintaining a neat appearance, arriving on time, and fostering a positive attitude that influences both customers and their fellow employees. The GEL ensures food safety standards are rigorously followed as this is paramount to the operation. They also maintain cleanliness of the dining and restroom areas, reinforcing the organization's goal of serving food in a spotless setting.

Working at Thomas Organization's McDonald's franchise means joining a team that values friendly, approachable, and proactive individuals who strive to make every customer interaction memorable. If you are looking for a role that offers growth opportunities, a welcoming workplace culture, and the chance to be the face of a respected restaurant brand, the Guest Experience Leader position could be a perfect fit.
